March 2019 So the time has come!! I have started a BLOG! I came to know the Lord back in 1975 and started journaling a couple of years later. As many of you know there have been times when I believe the Lord has spoken to me personally and I started recording these words in my journals. I called them ‘God’s Personal Words to Me’ but I know that most of them are not just for me. I obviously believe they are from God but I don’t expect everyone to believe this and that’s okay.
From the journal. . . August 2001
As I was journaling one morning I thought about a friend that I felt needed encouragement. I was torn by my desire and commitment to journal or to reach out to my friend. As it turned out I called and caught her just before she left for work. She appreciated it and thought the timing was great! I wrote in my journal, “Jesus, I believe You do care about these things and You care about me.”
And I believe God said. .
Yes. I do. The little details are part of the whole. They occupy your mind and soul. Any part of your life that you allow me into – I come in. I love you and if you have stress – I care. I love Linda. She needs encouragement and she likes you. It is about relationships. Life is about that. There is room for other ‘things’. Yes – like the mountains, the seas, animals, flowers, sunshine, and rain. You could go on forever, but love in relationships is the meaning of life.
Ruth loved Naomi and she was committed to her. She loved me and she yearned for righteousness.
Her zeal for relationships and loyalty brought her to righteousness and truth. *
Paul was committed and determined to give wholeheartedly to the cause of righteousness. Paul’s zeal for truth brought him into relationships that taught him about love.I love them both. I can use them both. They represent different personalities. Every heart that is submitted to me is pliable in my hand.
*Ruth 1:16-18
Lord, how I love you. I don’t know where I fit in with Ruth or Paul but I relate to both. Thank you for Your love.

Hi Diane, Great thoughts. I have been thinking about this very thing lately. There are always so many things to do. I could make long check lists every week and not have enough time to do everything on them. But God has been showing me that He is first and through him I develop relationships with others. There are family, friends, and others God calls me to minister to or bless or be blessed by! They are more important than my list.
Keep up the great work with your blog.
Kris!! Thank you!! I just realized that I need to check these responses. (I thought i would always get an email) . I also have to remind myself that the list is a means to a more important end!! Thanks!!
Words for my heart
