Lord, What Do You Want?

June 2019 We are made in God’s image. Many of us pray that we would become more like Him in character. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that sometimes what we want is also what He wants.

From the journal . . . . March 2007

I was thinking about what You want from people.  Lord, what do You want?

And I believe God said . . .

My desire for people is much like your’s for your children.  You wanted children to love, raise, and to be with you.  To be in relationship with.  You wanted them to know that they are valuable. You wanted them to trust you and to do what you told them.

 I want that as well.

When they grew up you were no longer the authority because you were equally vulnerable.
I am never vulnerable.  *I am always the parent and you are always the child. I don’t depend on you but *I delegate jobs for you.  For your good.   *I want my people to delight themselves in Me and in what I give them.  Each other, nature, themselves.

I want them to rejoice in the good times and I want them to love each other and trust me in the bad times.
