Come to Me

November 2019  .  I asked the Lord this question before having some sort of summer gathering for our church women.  I can’t help but think it is applicable for men as well.

As a parent of adult children, I can relate to the Lord in delighting in the times with each individual child as well as the whole family! I also like it when they enjoy being together apart from me.

From the journal . . . . August 2001

Lord, is there something You would say to the women through me?  I don’t want to give them my words but Yours.  Lord, I am fearful of putting my words in your mouth.

Daughters, I love you.  When you work together I am delighted.  I am delighted when you come to me individually.  Always come.  Come when you’re hurt, when you’re sad, when you’re excited, when you’re mad, when you’re grateful or when you’re confused.  Come when you’re ashamed, disappointed ,or apathetic.  Come to me! I know everything about you but when you come to me – we bond.  We grow closer and I bless you. *
Daughters, come together.  Support each other and don’t compete.  I have enough love for all of you and I give you enough love for each other.  There is room for all. I want each of you alone and I want you all together.  Don’t hide from each other and don’t hide from me.  Daughters I love you.  Love each other.

Psalm 50:15

  1. Yep, come as you, I love that about God and when you don’t know what to do, come anyway! He loves us so personally but all at the same time, he has enough to go around!
