I Believe the Bible

March 2020

Before I came to really believe that Jesus was not only real but interested in my life, I had decided that Jesus wasn’t real and the Bible was not true.  I remember that moment clearly!  So when Jesus made Himself real to me, I committed to accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God.  Make sense or not, I would believe it!  So from that point I have spent my life reading and studying the Bible.  Many things I still do not understand but I know the One in whom I believe*.  2Tim 1:12. He is faithful and true.

From the journal . . . . January 2015

Lord- I read this devotional by Oswald Chambers* because I want to be open to what You may want to speak to me.  I know that You can speak to me other ways but You have used Oswald Chambers before.  Is there anything that You would say to me now?  The song I’m hearing from Pandora says “Lord, I want to know Your heart” and Lord, that is my heart’s desire.  I will mute it to see if you will speak in my silence.

And I Believe God Said:

You believe My words in the Bible.  You search for the meaning of the verses so you can apply them to your life.  You can’t always remember exact verses or references, but they are in you.*  My Word is living.  It has living power beyond what you think.   Yes, see where My words apply in your life.  Speak them and know that there is more to My words than just meaning.  Be cautious, but not overly concerned about the different translations.  My spirit in you reveals truth.  My spirit, my father, and I are one.  We are with you always to protect you from your fear.  The fear of being deceived.  As long as you want Us – We are here.  That’s what you need to know.

*I have written my law on their heart.  Jer 31:33

Lord, You are so amazing.  Thank You Jesus.
