Taking my personal journal and turning it into something to share with others is really tricky, to say the least. Relationships are everything. The Lord has taught me precious lessons through my relationships with my family, friends and acquaintances. I want to share these with people but I don’t wanna throw anybody under the bus. I often check with the people involved and/or change the names to ‘protect the precious’. So far, so good! I think it helps when the journal entry was ‘years ago’.
From the Journal . . . . October 2009
I had told a couple of close relatives about a problem one of my loved ones was having. Afterwards, I regretted it. I was repentant and wondered if I should confess to my loved one what I had done.
And I Believe God Said:
Why? Would it help them to know? Would it ease your conscience to suffer the telling of it? I know why you did it, but that was not an acceptable motive*.
Proverbs 16:2
My motive was to show those I talked to that I could relate to them because of my personal experience with the same concern.
Trust me to make you credible to others. You can be as vulnerable as you want concerning your own baggage, but don’t expose others.
Thank You, Lord. That is a good command. Something I can understand and apply. Please grant me to always remember. I love You and I am sorry for my carelessness. Can You use it for good? Please do and I will try to do better. This is a good lesson worth remembering
