“Am I Not Worth More?”

Here’s something about this blog. I tend to ramble sometimes before getting to the point. My sister-in-law used to tease me about that. Often when I’d start to tell her about something, I’d see a certain look on her face so I would say “OK, it started back in 1952 when I was born. . . “  and we would laugh. My husband sometimes teases, “To make a short story long. . .”

So with my journal entries,  because I write like I talk, I have had to sort through a lot to figure out what is relevant and what isn’t.  The truth is, I don’t always know.  But I have a ‘Just God’s Words’ folder with just that!  I deleted all of my words leading up to it.   I am amazed at how those words can still speak to me with no real context.  I suspect it’s because, regardless of my words, the Lord sees my heart. Prov 14:13 talks about laughter concealing a hurting heart.  Sometimes, even talking to the Lord, I will go on about irrelevant things before I get to the pain in my heart that I may be feeling.

The Lord sees your heart and He cares about You.

From the journal . . . . October 2018

And I Believe God Said:

You don’t see your influence on others.  You feel loved and appreciated at times but you feel hurt, rejected or ignored, at other times. I send you out to love people unconditionally.  I never promised they would all receive from you, but you have Me. Am I not worth more to you than admiration, love and respect from others?*

*I Samuel 1:8

Perseverance is of great value to Me.*  You aren’t perfect but you are Mine and that gives you great value.  Some day all will see My people lifted up.  You will no longer feel ‘less than’.  You will be made whole.  All My people will be made whole.

*James 1:2-4

  1. I love that Diane, I get accused of making stories long, I’m not sure why I do that, but I guess I can say it started in 1962 ?. This is why we need that personal time knowing Jesus, learning how he talks to and cares for us, the more we have that, the more we can love others unconditionally, it still hurts sometimes but he picks us back up again and reminds us…for the joy set before him he endured the cross!

  2. Ha! Of course you can start your stories that way! I’ve never noticed that you make stories long!! I’ve also been told that I am thorough, so I don’t want to leave anything out!!! I agree that He is such an excellent example of how to love!!! Thanks for responding!!
