At some point early in my Christian walk the Lord impressed me that caring really does count. I was frustrated because there were, so often, circumstances I really cared about but was unable to help. I thought that if I saw a need it was up to me to meet it.* It seemed insincere to say ‘I care’ but not do anything about it. Arrghh. So many needs. . . so little resources. BUT if we really believe in prayer, it stands to reason that praying is a huge resource. I’m so grateful for the ministry of prayer.
*Gal 6:10
From the journal June 2019
“Lord, please help me to show Mark that I love him. Lord, help my family to love unselfishly. Help us to love freely without expecting anything in return. You, Our Heavenly Father, see what we do. You are our most significant audience.”
And I Believe God Said:
Yes! I see your heart* and the hearts of your peeps. Your perceptions cause you to pray accordingly. I don’t reveal everything to you but as you pray with pure motives, I use that. You have compassion and you want to help others in times of trouble. That’s My nature in you and it is pleasing to Me. However, you must understand your ways are not always Mine.* Don’t let that hinder your prayers, but know it’s possible that My answers won’t make sense to you. When you pray, acknowledge your limited perceptions, but keep your love passionate. Diane, Caring Counts. Even when no actions apart from prayer, are required.
1Chron 28:9. Isaiah 55:8
“Oh Lord. Thank you for that. So good.”

Yes, when we care enough to be moved to prayer it is enough, sometimes there is more, sometimes not, and quite often we don’t get to know the outcome. He just wants our faithful caring hearts ❤
Debi, that is so true!! It is a lie that tells us “If you aren’t going to help, then your ‘caring’ is nothing”. Hypocrite. ‘Not so’ that we don’t care and ‘not so’ that our praying to God the Father isn’t a ‘help’. There are times that we just want to close our eyes to the horrible hurts in our world that we are powerless to address. I think He reveals things to us so we can pray. Then cast those cares onto Him or we will crumble.
