Choices

This blog post is from 2 separate entries that are very closely related. It concerns the choice we always have to sin or not sin.

I was talking to the Lord about a prayer request from the Presidential Prayer Team.

From the journal . . . . June 2019

“ An insurance company for Medicaid proposes to allow children under 21 to get gender change surgeries.  Those suffering from ‘gender dysphoria’. “

“God help us all.  Some statistics say that most transgender people have been sexually abused as children. Others say it is something that happened genetically.  But Lord – what happened?”

And I Believe God Said:

You know that I don’t make mistakes.*  There are consequences in the world because of sin in general. I have given healing remedies to help those in need.  Doctors and medical people help address those needs, but there are those who abuse the remedies and there are choices that lead to sin.  These need to be confessed, not excused.* The enemy works continually to keep the sinner from confessing, repenting and receiving forgiveness.  I am stronger but it is an eternal battle.  Keep praying.  Keep fighting for the deceived.  They have a choice.

Psalm 18:30. 1John1:9

A few months later a conversation came up concerning ‘bad people’.

From the journal . . . . September 2019

“Lord, yesterday we had some interesting talks with the sibs, about bad people.  At one point Sarah looked right at me and asked me how I thought they got that way.  “Was it just something inside them?  Genetic? Environment?”  She said she knows there are children who just do evil things. Like stand on a slide and push kids off the ladder when they come up and then laugh.  Anyway, I didn’t have an answer but ‘choices’ came to my mind.  So this morning as I walked, the answer seemed clear.

And I Believe God Said:

Choices.  People always have alternatives. *  Adam did.  Eve did.  Even young children have a sense of right and wrong. They all have choices but if a person chooses wrong over and over again their sense of wrong gets dull.  They still have a choice but they may be forming bad habits.  The enemy takes action as soon as the wrong choices start.  I use parents to train the children to make the right choices.  This is why I tell parents to raise a child in the way they should go. *

*First Corinthians 10:13.  Proverbs 22:6
