Reassurance of His Love

We are so not God!  We try to figure things out and wonder at times what He is doing, but we only get to know what He wants to reveal to us. While walking on the waterfront one morning, I was noticing the fog, how some things are concealed and some are revealed.  That’s what the Lord does in our brains.  He reveals things He wants us to notice and conceals what He chooses, for whatever purpose He has. All I can say is “Amazing!”  So grateful that He is a loving God!

From the journal . . . . March 1988

On this day I had been sick with the flu for six days and still had a fever.  My husband and two of our kids were also sick.  Even so, I was feeling very loved by God and He was very close…

Lord, I don’t know how You can be with billions and billions of people at once and yet spend time with just me.  It is, of course, impossible for man* but You promised to never leave us, nor forsake us.*  You are near to all who call.* The only conclusion is that You can do what we can’t understand.* It’s that, or You lie, which is another impossibility.*

Luke 18:27. Deut. 31:8.  Ps 145:19. Job 38:4-7. Num 23:19

Lord, how I love You! You’ve loved me so well.  I’m convinced! That’s amazing!  Your Spirit is amazing!  It’s what You’ve enabled me to believe.  If I were to write a book it couldn’t bear fruit without the Holy Spirit.  It would just be “Oh, that’s nice the author feels that way.”

And I Believe God Said:

You reveal what I’ve revealed to you, things that reassure you of My love.  Others can relate to you and if they will open their hearts, dare to believe, then, they can receive so much more of My love.  Some will not receive your testimony.  Some will even be offended.  Remember the truth.  No one can change the truth.  It is I who send flowers to you. It is I who send cool breezes when you’re hot.  It is I who shines My sun on your face.  Who else could it be?!  And of course, it’s because I love you.  Certainly, you don’t deserve it, but I don’t change.  I do, because I love.  Rejoice in that.
