My Little Ones are Most Precious to Me

This entry was before I started working on getting my teaching degree.  I was doing the after-school program at the Christian school where three of my own kids attended.

From the journal . . . . June 1990

Lord, Track and Field Day went fine.  I was complimented and felt I did do a good job.  At some point, I was discouraged but all of the sudden, I thought, “I did fine and I’m good with kids”. It was like a truth settled in and I decided to keep it.  Maybe someone thinks otherwise, but there were enough positive comments to build me up.  After all, Lord, You were the one to put me with kids.  Oh, I wish I would always remember to look to You.

And I Believe God Said:

Yes!  That is only one of many reasons you should look to Me.  When you see Me, your focus is clear, and satan can’t distract you with his schemes.  That’s his purpose – to distract you from My purposes, which are always for your good and the good of the kingdom.

1 Peter 5:8. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Even this day, focus on the children.  Some won’t see you again and we want them to remember Me in you.  They, My little ones, are most precious to Me.

Matt 18:5-6  “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Going into teaching was a surprise direction that the Lord led me to.  He used many surprising circumstances and this little Christian school to do it!!  I’m so very grateful!!
