This entry began with me writing about when to take medications. It was very detailed and boring to read, but evidently helpful for me to write. Then I remembered that I was talking to God!!
From the journal . . . .October 2017
Lord, it’s pretty silly to write that in my journal. It would be helpful if I could separate among trivial, important, and significant while writing it. However, I don’t write with a reader in mind, apart from You. My writing is for You, Lord. Well, on second thought, not exactly. I write to You because I focus better knowing to whom I write. You don’t need me to write out my thoughts and feelings because You know all about them.
Psalm 139:1-4. Lord, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know when I sit down and when I get up;
You understand my thought from far away.
3 You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, Lord, You know it all. NASB
So, I guess I write for me, and I often read it again later. I wonder if I will ever get caught up reading all that I have written.
And I Believe God Said:
I created your brain, your mind, your heart, and your soul. You are a writer. It’s what you do. I know all about you. When you write you are more aware of Me. Your thoughts sometimes are My thoughts. My thoughts are My word. They are who I am.* Your thoughts are all over the map! So many are incomplete, and you don’t have a clue about them. That’s okay. I know everything about you and, to Me, you were worth dying for. You are Mine. Encourage others who know Me.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God
Lord, thank You. I want to know You more and more. I want to be more like You. That would be Your work. I think my work would be to act like You. ‘What would Jesus do?’ Lord, that’s a good concept. Some people find ways to criticize it. Some people, even I at times, want to find things to criticize. Instead, I should always look for actions and attitudes to imitate, the good things I see in others!
