Don’t Let Discouragement Stop You ~ Blog Part 1

When a person begins a new venture, they aren’t sure how it will turn out.  It could be risky depending on the investment of money, energy, time, reputation, confidence, or something else.  I suspect most of us have this sort of unspoken idea that just maybe, this venture will be a huge overnight success.  More often, though, I think we have fearful thoughts that it will be awful and a huge bust.

Starting this blog was a new venture for me.  I feel sort of apologetic to share it with you, my readers, because of how I felt when I wrote it, but I believe the God part needs to be shared.  Please keep in mind that this was written less than a month after my first post in March 2019.

From the journal . . . . April 2019

Lord, I woke up sort of discouraged about the blog.  No real reason, it’s just that I haven’t gotten much feedback. However, I put my trust in You, Lord.  I don’t want to pay to ‘promote it’ but Lord, I want You to get it where it needs to go in order to give encouragement to people.  Lord, another thing is the techy stuff.  It’s intimidating to me, but I know it isn’t to You.  You know all about how it works.   You created everything.  Communication with You is no problem technologically or relationally.  Thank You Lord.

And I Believe God Said:

You need not fear.  Remember the success of this is Mine.  Don’t let discouragement stop you. You see that I keep speaking to You.  I encourage you with eternal encouragement. You need to share that.  Spread the good news that I am a present God.  I am here and I am alive.  Every sign of life that you see proves that I am alive.  I give life and I take it away from this earth. But there is a resurrection.

2 Thessalonians 2:16 May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,  NIV

Psalm 105:1-2
1:GiveGive praise to the Lord, proclaim His name;
    make known among the nations what He has done.
Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. NIV

 Isaiah 7:14. Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. NASV
Matthew 1:23.  “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).   NIV
Matthew 28:19-20. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  NIV

The response from God was very encouraging to me concerning my Mission Project which is what led to this blog. The outcome belongs to Him.  I love that!!  I also love that every sign of life that I see proves that He is alive!!!

May He also bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you.
