At the time of this entry, I was about halfway through my college prep to get my teaching certificate. It was a very busy time but each morning I would meet with the Lord. Whether I was distracted, desperate, rushed, overwhelmed, focused, inspired, hopeful or calm, He would always send me off knowing that He was with me and He loved me. That was how He kept me close to Him.
From the journal . . . . March 1994
Lord, I adore You. My journals are precious to me, but if they were burned or destroyed, I’d still have You, the author of what I love most in the journals. What can I do with all this love You give to me?
And I Believe God Said:
Love the children. Love the people. Share your love for Me with them. There is no law against that.
1 John 4:7-8 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Matt 22:37-40 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.
Gal 5:22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
You love My creation. You love nature and there’s no doubt in you that I gave nature to you. Somebody loves you a lot to give such a gift! That’s Me, and I love My people. I want to pour out My personal love on all people, just as I have given creation as a blessing to all. I want to be real to them. That is your mission, My daughter, don’t be afraid. You don’t think you know how to do that, but your desire to serve Me is all you need. Keep this revelation ever before you. Your part is to do what you can to help others know I am real and that I care personally for each one.
Matt 23:37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
Isaiah 43:4 Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.
I believe He is saying this to all of us! If you have a close personal relationship with Jesus, share it with others.
Psalm 107:2 Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!
Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.
Acts 20:24. But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
If you don’t have a personal relationship with Him, or if you, like most of us, want to be closer to Him, keep asking and seeking Him!
James 4:8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
Ps 22:26 The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise Him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.
1 Chron 28:9 “And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek Him, you will find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
