There is sometimes confusion about the Holy Spirit. For example, what pronoun to use. He or It? I am not consistent either way but one thing I do know: the Spirit is within me and is what takes me from anxiety to peace. It or He is the Spirit of God. It or He is the Spirit of Jesus. It or He is the Holy Spirit. I don’t need to understand it completely to believe it wholeheartedly!
From the journal . . . . May 1998
Lord, I have known Your hand on me when I’ve been so scared and hopeless, yet You come and say, “It’s okay.” Thank-You Lord. I love You. Thank-You for Your presence. I feel it and know it now. Let me know it even more when I’m with people, carrying You with me. Is this ‘sense’ outside of me?
And I Believe God Said to Me:
Holy Spirit is in you.
Luke 11:13 So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” NASB
John 16:13 13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. NASB
You know it and feel it within yourself. The Holy Spirit is also in others. You will recognize Him in them. You will. Pay attention and you will! It’s not as hard as you think. The Holy Spirit is more evident than you think but He does not have total control over people. You have asked Him to reign in you, but at times you restrict Him. You have a long way to go in complete surrender. You want it but fear comes in.
Have hope when you don’t see. Keep the desire and the hope. Spiritually, there is no reason to quit. There will not come a time when you should give up hope. Never. Your sight is limited but you must believe.
Romans 8:24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? NASB
2 Cor. 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight NASB
I am the Victor. I am! That’s Me! Satan will be defeated. He is defeated. He is defeated in your life when you believe his impotence.
The Holy Spirit gives Us the power to believe!
John 14:16-17 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever; 17 the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you. NASB
