His Word Brings Clarity and Peace

As I started journaling the morning of this post, I wasn’t expecting to get something for this very week.  I knew I needed to find a suitable entry but I wasn’t planning on it right then.  Other things were on my mind.

From the journal  . . . . March 2026

Lord, Terri’s verse today was Philippians 3:17-21. A phrase from verse 21 struck me.

“The Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control . . .” NIV

Lord, that is so comforting!  You have the power to bring EVERYTHING under Your control! There is so much I don’t understand spiritually or culturally in my world today.  So, knowing You and Your great love, I am more than content to have You reign over every aspect of my life.

Again, I find myself baffled when those who give an appearance of knowing You walk away. It seems I can’t assume faithfulness even when one claims to know You.

Thank you so much for Your Word, Lord. Whenever I doubt what is important, Your words bring clarity and peace.

And I believe the Lord said:

My omnipresence takes into account different eras and cultures. I know about everything in the Bible. I know where the understanding comes from as well as all misunderstandings.

1 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

1 Cor 2:10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

My scribes were anointed but not perfect. My Holy Spirit is perfect.  My interpreters and translators aren’t perfect, but the Holy Spirit is.  Not all translators and interpreters belong to Me. Modern translators are meant to help you understand My intentions.  However, some have said, “No,” to Me and can’t be trusted.

You must always seek Me and My truth when you read. I know your heart and your motives. I see clearly how your mind works and processes what you read.

1 Cor 2:11-12 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,

Seek Me for how to apply My truths in and to your life. Seek me with all your heart and seek truth and understanding as you read My words.

Eph 1:7-8. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

Those who seek Me will find Me when they seek Me with all their heart, soul, and mind.

Jer 29:13. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Jesus, I seek You and I want truth. Oh Lord, I surrender to You, but I don’t always trust myself. Nonetheless, Lord, I will and do trust You. When I go to my computer to publish this post, oh God, give me the discernment You have promised for me. If there is error, make it clear.

Psalm 119:169 O Lord, listen to my cry; give me the discerning mind you promised

The idea of the Lord giving me a specific journal response for a blog post is different for me, but believing that He answers our prayers, and having asked for discernment, I trust that was His plan for this week.

All scriptures are from the NASB 95 unless otherwise stated.
